Bandra Police has called director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to record his statement in related to Sushant Singh’s suicide case. As of today, Mumabi police has so far recorded statements of over 25 people, including director Shekha Kapoor, actress Sanjana Sanghi, Sushant’s friend Sandip Singh.
‘Kai Po Che’ actor, 34 year old, was found dead in his Mumbai Apartment on 14th of June 2020. He was found hanging at his residence by his servants and sister. Police said that the 34-year-old actor committed suicide.
Just before director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Bandra police called actress Sanjana Sanghi to record the statement in actor Sushant Singh’s suicide case. The interrogation went on for over 9 hours.
After the interrogation, ‘Dil Bechara’ actress denied making any allegations against the late actor during 2018 ‘MeToo’ Campaign in her media statement. She said, “Sushant was bit disturbed because of rumour but he was quite normal and doing well during the shoot of ‘Dil Bechara.”
According to reports, Bhansali had offered film to the late actor, but it did not work out. The police will try to understand the circumstances in which the rising star of Bollywood killed himself, the official said. This is why, he was called by Mumbai police to find out the reason behind it.
Nearly a week ago, the final post-mortem confirms death by hanging. However, his fans demand a CBI inquiry into the case.
The viscera report in relation to actor’s death is still pending. In addition to this, forensic science laboratory report of blood and other samples collected from flat are also pending. Further, Bandra police are in process of retrieval of call and data records from late actor’s phone and laptop.
